Two To Tango Calendar Oregon Coast and Willamette Valley Events 9 September 2009, Wednesday Beginning West Coast Swing Time: 7:00pm - 8:00pm Location: South Beach Comm. Center This class will cover the basics movements of West Coast (WC) Swing. This is a more challenging dance than the simpler East Coast Swing becuase leader and follower have different rolls and patterns to dance, but it is very rewarding to master this dance because it opens up the opportunity for improvisation between the dancers like good jazz does for musicians. It is well worth the extra effort to learn. Cost is $35/month/person (5 weeks) or $9/class/walk-in No prior dance experience necessary. Singles and couples are welcome. We rotate partners in class to facilitate faster learning of lead and follow. Beginner Dance Sampler Time: 8:00pm - 9:00pm Location: South Beach Comm. Center The class for the TRUE BEGINNER dancer. This class will be taught on an ongoing basis with no "break" between months. Each class will be taught as a stand alone class, but classes will build information when taken on a regular basis. I will introduce the basic connections and movements in partner dance and will apply them to one or more dances per night. The Rumba, Waltz, EC Swing, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, and American Tango will be the basis for the classes. ALL dancers are welcome to the classes. Use them to learn or refine your dance skills. Cost is $35/month/person (5 weeks in the month) or $9/person walk-in fee. Singles and couples are welcome. We rotate partners in class to help the learning process.
